Yeah. Never mind.
It gets boring when there's no one to play with. Though I can definitely see how joining a guild or something can really attach you to the world more. Luckily no one snatched me.
I got lonely, so I stopped playing. It's for the better.
Now I can dismiss it as overrated trash, which is something I couldn't do before.
I'll play something with a story, thanks.
I got to level 14 by the way.

WoW Free Trial Log: Day 2

Boredom can lead to a variety of outcomes, and while they aren't necessarily always bad, I can trace back the cause of a lot of bad decisions to boredom.
One such awful decision came yesterday when I downloaded the ten day free trial for World of Warcraft. Awful decision indeed. Don't play WoW. Don't even play MMOs.
The extent of my MMO experience two days ago was Runescape, which while obviously shit, deserves more credit than it gets, in my opinion. Having only settled for that in the past, the mere contrast between the graphics of the games was enough to hook me. Yet it delivered more.
It's it's own little world. This certainly isn't a foreign concept to one who has played as many games as I have, each with unique and often expansive virtual realities, but unlike the others, this one is alive. There's always something to do. I can fight things to get better at fighting things, fish to get better at fishing things, complete quests, earn...

Rape all the dead children. They won't scream or fret.
You've had the pleasure of killing them, but your fun's not over yet.
No more shall shit excrete from the rotting assholes of the damned,
So stick it in and out as fast as you can.
Slice their ice cold stomachs. Blood won't even spurt.
