I'm hoping for this game to play like the HD remix version that was released a few months back. Perfectly balanced gameplay, no cheap characters that could drain your health bar in two moves. I'm also hoping for the new characters to be people I will want to play as, instead of them just taking up space. Looking forward to Abel and El Fuerte in particular, hope they don't disappoint.

Character Roster
Ryu - The main character of the original Street Fighter and the icon of the whole Street Fighter series. Though not my favorite character, definitely one of the most awesome video game icons ever. His signature move is the Hadōken

Ken - Rival and best friend of Ryu, he made his first appearance in the original Street Fighter game as a clone of Ryu for second players, he seems to have moved up by obtaining unique moves of his own, and doing Ryu's moves in a different fashion. His signature move is the Shōryūken

Chun-Li - She first started out in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, and ever since has been a reoccurring character in a lot of the games. She started as an uncercover INTERPOL agent going through the World Warrior tournament to get to a crime organization's leader, M. Bison. Also, one thing that sticks out about her is her thighs. She has GIANT thighs. Her signature move is Hyakuretsu kyaku (Hundred Rending kick, or Lightining Kicks).

E. Honda - A professional sumo wrestler that bring a lot of pain. His first appearance was in Street Fighter II, and ever since has made an appearance in a few other Street Fighter games. He wears red face paint, and has his hair in a chonmage. His signature move is Hyaku Retsu Harite (Hundred Violent Sumo Hands). One thing I can't figure out about him, though.....is he fat or really muscular?

Blanka - What an ugly beast. He started out in Street Fighter II. When he was a child, he was involved in a plane crash and ended up in the wild, with ties to a local village. In Street Fighter II, his mother recognizes him from the anklets he wears, she tells him that he was formerly known as Jimmy, and they are reunited. His signature move is his "Electricity" move.
Zangief - Possibly one of the most entertaining characters out of the Street Fighter series. Is it the fact that he crushes opponent's head between his thighs? Or is it the way he brags about wrestling bears? Who knows, maybe it's just because he's Russian. He made his first appearance in Street Fighter II, as a professional wrestler who is representing his country by the request of the Soviet president (who closely resembled the actual Soviet president at that time). What sticks out about him is his humorously large and hairy appearance, along with a disturbing man thong. His signature move is the Spinning Piledriver.

Guile - The name sounds badass enough, but the character truly is. He first appeared in Street Fighter II as a Major in the United States Air Force who entered the World Warrior tournament to avenge the death of his friend Charlie, who was killed by M. Bison. The irony of Guile's character is that he's in the Air Force, but his hair would not fit the regulations. Maybe they're too scared to enforce the rules on him, who knows. His signature move is "Sonic Boom".

Dhalsim - For some reason, I find his design to be somewhat disturbing. Making his debut in Street Fighter II, he enter the World Warrior tournament to raise money for his poor village, even though it goes against his beliefs. He has appeared in almost all of the Street Fighter games and many of Capcom's crossover games. His signature move is Yoga Fire.

Balrog(M. Bison in Japan) - Obviously a character inspired by Mike Tyson, in the Japanese version his name is M. Bison, but for legal issues, they switched names around. Also, hilariously enough, in Street Fighter Alpha 3, Balrog tells his opponents he's going to bite their ear off (obvious reference to Mike Tyson vs. Holyfield). He first appeared in Street Fighter II as an American boxer trying to get rich. Another obvious nod to Mike Tyson was in his ending. In his ending, he gets tons of money, but ends up blowing it. His signature move is the Turn Punch.

Vega(Balrog in Japan) - Ahhh, the charming Spanish clawman. He is one of the few people out of the entire Street Fighter series to carry a weapon with him. He is also one of the characters whose name was switched around for the English version. He first appeared in Street Fighter II as a boss character, but in later versions was made playable. His signature move is the Izuna Drop.

Sagat - The final boss of the original Street Fighter. He also appears in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior as one of the four bosses. In later games, just like Vega, he was made playable. In Street Fighter II, he has a scar on his chest thanks to Ryu from the first game. His signature move is the Tiger Shot.

M. Bison(Vega in Japan) - The main villain of Street Fighter II. He wields Psycho Power, an evil energy that manifests as electricity. Many of Street Fighter II's main characters have personal vendettas against him, and enter the World Warrior tournament he hosts to get a shot at him. His signature move is Psycho Crusher.
Dan - Comic relief for the Street Fighter series, Dan first appeared in Street Fighter Alpha, plotting to avenge his father, who was killed by Sagat. His abilities are self-created and less powerful than other's abilities. His signature move is his Gadōken. Although his abilities are pretty much the same as Ryu's and Ken's they are more "loose".

Fei Long - My personal favorite out of the Street Fighter series. A character made to resemble Bruce Lee, he specializes in close combat. He made his first appearance in Super Street Fighter II. He is a professional Martial Arts actor, though in his ending in Super Street Fighter II, he gives up his movie career and makes his own kung-fu style called the Sky-Flying style. His signature move is his rekka punch.

Sakura - A girl with a crazy obsession for Ryu. Although she manages to copy some of Ryu's techniques, she wants him to train her personally. She usually fights in a traditional Japanese school girl uniform, with fighting gloves and a headband (possibly to imitate Ryu). Shet started out in Street Fighter Alpha 2, and has made appearances in other games. Her signature move is the Hadōken, but with shorter range since she wasn't properly trained to use it.

Cammy - She made her first appearance in Super Street Fighter II, as an agent in the Delta Red task force. Later it is revealed that she was one of M. Bison's henchmen, but due to memory loss, she couldn't remember it. She's also the second female fighter in the Street Fighter series. Her signature move is the Cannon Drill.

Gen - He made his first appearance in the original Street Fighter games as a computer-controlled opponent, but in Alpha II and III, he was a playable character. He is the only character that can switch between his fighting style during the game. Changing his fighting style also affects his special moves. Not sure if he has a signature move, but his two style are called The Sou-Style and the Ki-Style.

Rose - Her debut was in the first Alpha game, but since then she has been a recurring character in the Street Fighter series. She's the third female in the Street Fighter series. She is the good half of M. Bison. After trying to master his psycho power, he got rid of what he thought was weak, and turned into baby Rose. Her signature technique is her Soul Power.

Crimson Viper - A female American spy wearing sunglasses, leather gloves and a form-fitting suit.

Abel - a French mixed martial artist. He is described as an amnesiac, a "man with no past" looking to defeat surviving members of Shadaloo. He also has a rivalry with Guile.

Rufus - A Kung Fu fighter with a rather rotund appearance who seeks to fight Ken to prove himself as the best fighter in the United States.

El Fuerte - Spanish for "The Strong One", a Mexican luchador and aspiring gourmet chef.

Akuma - First appearing in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, he is the younger brother of Ryu and Ken's sensei. He uses more powerful versions of their techniques. His techniques are a bit more balanced than Ryu's and Ken's. While Ryu is slower, and Ken is faster, he sits between them. His signature move is his Gō Hadōken.

Gouken - None other thank Ryu's and Ken's master. He has been a supporting character ever since Super Street Fighter II Turbo, but in Street Fighter IV, he will be playable. His techniques are basically the same as Akuma's, with slight variations to them. Just like Akuma, his signature technique is the Gō Hadōken.

Seth - Also known as "The Puppet Master", is the new boss character. He is the Chief Executive Officer of S.I.N., the weapons division of Shadaloo. His body has been modified using advanced technology. His Special Moves are techniques used by other characters.
